CLUB INFORMATION
Below we have put together some information, rules and regulations when visiting our club. Please remember this is a hobby and a bit of fun for all ages and abilities. We are a new club and we need to find our feet to see what works for us all. We will change and adapt these guidelines as and when we need to in the best interest of the club and the members.
Happy Racing.
OPENING & FINISHING TIMES

We run every Thursday. Doors will open at 17:15 to begin setting up, the first race will be on the line for 18:15, we must be finished and out of the venue by 22:00. The more participants who help us setup and clear away will give us more track time.

TRACK

We are running Lindau carpet which will cover the entire hall (18m x 12m) with plastic track markers and filled fire hose.
We are utilizing a lap timing system that allows comprehensive lap timings to be viewed live or historic.

RACE FORMAT

Once the track is setup, if there is time the track will be open for practice, this will be announced by race control. Their is a maximum of 8 drivers at one time for practice and to manage this we have keyrings found at race control that we ask you to use and then pass along once your done to ensure everyone has a chance to practice. We will run as many rounds as possible depending on the number of entries. We will be aiming for a minimum of two qualifying rounds and a final per class. When it is your time to race place your car on the start line, You must remain on the rostrum until the race has finished, even if your car is no longer on the track, except an emergency.
Marshaling your own car during the race will not be tolerated.
Each qualifier will run for a total of 4.5 minutes and the finals are 5 minutes.

MARSHALLING

After each race you must return your car to the pit area and proceed to your marshal point. You will marshal the race straight after you have finished racing. There will be numbered points around the track with marshal high vis jackets. You will marshal on the number that was assigned to you in your race. Do not leave your marshal point until it has been announced that all drivers have finished. Remember there is only 2 minutes gap between each race so please get to your marshal point immediately to ensure we can run with as much racing as possible without delays.
When marshalling especially near to the rostrum please refrain from talking as this is highly distracting for the racers.

VENUE

We have the use of the main hall and toilets only; all other parts of the school are out of bounds. Chairs are provided at the venue but we ask you bring your own pit tables. You must put away your chairs at the end of each night. We do have the use of the power at the school, remember plug sockets are limited so it’s first come first served. It may be a good idea to bring an extension lead. Charging of lipo batteries is allowed, it is compulsory that every battery is charged in a lipo bag. Anyone caught not charging in a safety bag will be asked to leave immediately! As per BRCA guidelines lipos must not be charged over 8.4v
PARKING

There are ample parking spaces available however we ask that the row to the left hand side of the carpark is kept free for the school minibus. Please only park in a bay and not blocking anyone in or the front doors. Typically the organisers of the event have a lot of equipment to bring so please be courteous and leave the first few bays available for them to unload equipment needed for the event. The school is situated in a residential area so please be respectful of the neighbours when you arrive and leave the premises. This could jeopardize the future of the club.

TUCK SHOP

We have a snack shop which will sell soft drinks and snacks, any profits from this will be kept in the club funds. Please remember to take all your rubbish with you.

BRCA

The BRCA is the governing body for RC car racing, Indoor Raceway is an affiliated member. The BRCA also supplies us our public liability insurance, you are allowed to race at our club for 3 times before you have to join the BRCA, this can be done via the BRCA website.
No exceptions.
