Welcome to our new event, Indoor Buggy Racing.
This event will run weekly, every Tuesday at Barnwell Middle School 17:15 until 22:00.

modified Modern Buggy Rules:
1. Any modern 1:10th scale 2WD or 4WD Buggy Kit
2. The front bumper should be the original or copy of the part supplied within the kit and
must not exceed to overall width of the car.
3. All buggy's must be free from pointed or sharp edges
4. Ride height must be no less than 12mm and is subject to spot checks to prevent damage to the carpet

Motor:
- Any BRCA approved brushless motor designed for 1:10th RC Racing
​
ESC:
- Any BRCA approved brushless electronic speed controller for 1:10th RC Racing
​
Battery:
- Any 6 cell NiMH or BRCA approved 2S LiPO firmly secured into the car
​
Gearing:
- Open choice
​
Wheels/Tyres:
- Standard 1:10th scale buggy wheel and rubber tyre designed for carpet racing as per the approved list below

Bodyshell:
- Any bodyshell designed for 1:10th scale buggy racing
- Bodyshells must remain securely fastened to the car using either body clips or Velcro
- Rear wings are permitted but must not be wider than the car
- Front wings may be used as per kits but must not have sharp edges
1:10th Scale Vintage Buggy Rules:
1. Any 1:10th scale 2WD or 4WD Buggy Kit from 1998 or before
2. The front bumper should be the original or copy of the part supplied within the kit and
must not exceed to overall width of the car.
3. All buggy's must be free from pointed or sharp edges
4. Ride height must be no less than 12mm and is subject to spot checks to prevent damage to the carpet

- Maximum 10.5t brushless motor or any 540 style brushed motor designed for 1/10th RC Racing. Spot checks will be made to ensure motor spec is no greater than 10.5t

ESC:
- Any BRCA approved brushless or brushed electronic speed controller for 1:10th RC Racing
​
Battery:
- Any 6 cell NiMH or BRCA approved 2S LiPO firmly secured into the car
​
Gearing:
- Open choice
​
Wheels/Tyres:
- Standard 1:10th scale buggy wheel and rubber tyre designed for carpet racing as per the approved list below

Bodyshell:
- A vintage "cab back" style buggy bodyshell
- Bodyshells must remain securely fastened to the car using either body clips or Velcro
- Rear wings are permitted but must not be wider than the car
1:10th Stock Buggy Rules:
1. This class is designed for newcomers and experienced racers. It is designed to allow you
to race without incurring huge expense
2. Any 1:10th scale Tamiya or RTR Kit
3. The front bumper should be the original or copy of the part supplied within the kit and
must not exceed to overall width of the car.
4. Ride height must be no less than 12mm and is subject to spot checks to prevent damage to the carpet

Motor:
- Any BRCA approved brushed up to 15t
​
ESC:
- Kit ESC or Hobbywing 1060
​
Battery:
- Any 6 cell NiMH up to 5300mA
​
Gearing:
- You have free choice of pinion, but the spur and gearbox must remain as per the original
kit.

Wheels/Tyres:
- Standard 1:10th scale buggy wheel and rubber tyre designed for carpet racing as per the approved list below

Bodyshell:
- Kit or any bodyshell designed for 1:10th scale buggy racing
- Bodyshells must remain securely fastened to the car using either body clips or Velcro
- Rear wings are permitted but must not be wider than the car
- Front wings not allowed
Generic RUles
1. All cars are subject to random checks and scrutineering at any time

1. LiPO batteries MUST be on the BRCA approved battery list and all club rules relating to batteries must be adhered to
​
2. Batteries MUST be charged in accordance with manufacturers guidelines, but no more than 2c. eg: 4000mA max 8A charge
​
3. All LiPO batteries MUST be charged in a LiPO sack or box, swollen batteries ARE NOT permitted to be used
​
4. All shock towers MUST have carpet protectors fitted. You will be asked to leave the track if protectors are not fitted
​
5. Shock tower end MUST be covered to prevent damage to carpet when car is inverted
​
6. Spur gear covers MUST be covered to prevent injury when handling the car
​
7. Drivers MUST marshall the next heat after their race. We ask you put your car back on your table and swiftly return to marshall points
​
8. This is a family club so we ask that you refrain from swearing
​
9. The use of tyre warmers IS NOT permitted
​
10. Gyros ARE NOT permitted (this may affect some RTR cars)​
​
11. Only tyres from the approved tyre list below can be used:
- Please note tyre additive IS NOT permitted

BOOKING IN:
1. Booking in will be completed online. Booking in will open on Wednesday at 18:00 and close Monday at 18:00

2. Drivers will be required to enter the model of the car they will be running
​
3. Drivers will be required to enter their ability on the booking form. Heats will be arranged based on ability
​
4. Drivers will be required to indicate whether they are a club member or not
​
5. Any driver found to be booking in as a member who isn't will have their race entry cancelled
​
6. Booking in operates on a first come-first served basis
​
7. When cancelling a booking, a refund is only possible up until 24 hours before the event
​
